Siren’s Call PR was founded and launched by Pamela Nashel in 2020. The mission of Siren’s Call is simple and immediate: to help artists spread their creative message and connect with the world in increasingly direct and meaningful ways. Centered around Pamela’s three passions - music, books, and film – Siren’s Call combines a total commitment to your artistic pursuit alongside a strategic approach to designing an innovative media plan that best communicates your story + vision.

As a senior publicist at Girlie Action Media for over two decades, Pamela has a genre-spanning track record of heading up campaigns for an eclectic roster of world-renowned artists such as My Morning Jacket, Wyclef Jean, LCD Soundsystem, Meshell Ndegeocello, PJ Harvey, Elliott Smith, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and dozens more. Her vast media experience has included booking live performances on SNL and The Tonight Show, securing high profile features in publications such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, as well as press placements with media outlets of all sizes and styles in between.

Pamela’s combined interests also led to press efforts for a variety of books: Down the Haus: Punk Rock, Revolution and the Fall of the Berlin WallButthole Surfers: What Does Regret Mean?, and Prescripture, the latest photography book from industrial/metal band Ministry.

In addition to music and books, Pamela has worked publicity on a diverse array of films that include Salad Days: A Decade Of Punk In Washington DCDennis & Lois, Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone, Creem, and The Buffalo Hunt, a documentary about the sacred customs of the Lakota Sioux on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

From her days as booker for legendary San Francisco punk club The Chameleon to being a marketing exec for WEAPamela’s worked in all aspects of the entertainment industry. For Pamela art, music, and film is life’s blood as much as it is escapism and living in the moment.
